What are the classifications of firebricks? Generally according to the current national standard (GB 10324-88), the type classification of firebricks is divided into standard, general, special, special firebricks and other types:
(1) Standard type firebrick. Generally, the straight shaped brick with an external size of 230mm×114mm×65mm is called a standard brick.
(2) general type firebrick. The overall size ratio (the ratio of the minimum to the maximum size, the same below) is within the range of 1:4, without concave corners, holes or grooves, and its single weight is 2-8kg clay bricks, 2-6kg silicon bricks, 2-lOkg high aluminum bricks, 4-lOkg magnesia or magnesia aluminum bricks, which are called general type bricks.
(3) Special-shaped firebrick.
1) Clay, high aluminum shaped brick. Where the ratio of overall dimensions is within the range of 1:6 and has not more than 2 concave angles (including circular concave angles), or has 15°-75°.The acute Angle, or with no more than 4 grooves, the weight of 2-15kg clay bricks and 2-18kg high aluminum bricks, are called special-shaped bricks.
2) siliceous special-shaped brick. Where the ratio of overall dimensions is within the range of 1:5, having not more than 1 concave Angle, or having 15°-75°.The acute Angle, or with no more than 2 grooves, the weight of 2 ~ 12kg of silicon bricks, are called silicon shaped bricks.
3) Magnesia or magnesia aluminum shaped brick. All bricks not included in this series are classified as special-shaped bricks.
(4) Special refractory brick.
1) Clay, high aluminum special brick. Where the ratio of overall dimensions is within the range of 1:8, having not more than 4 concave angles (including circular concave angles) or having 1.50-3.The acute Angle, or has no more than 8 grooves, or has no more than 1 hole, its weight is 1.5-30kg of clay bricks and 1.5-35kg of high aluminum bricks, are called special bricks.
2) siliceous special brick. Where the overall dimension ratio is within the range of 1:6, having not more than 4 concave angles (including circular concave angles), or having 15°-30°.The acute Angle or with 4 grooves, or with no more than 1 hole, the weight of 1.5-25kg of silicon bricks, are called special bricks.
3) Magnesia special type brick. Where the dimension ratio of the overall size is within the range of 1:8, having not more than 4 concave angles (including circular concave angles), or having 13°-50°. An acute Angle of; Or a brick eye with not more than 3 holes; Or with no more than 4 grooves, the single weight of 3 ~ 35kg magnesia brick, are called special brick.
